About the book TeTe The Colored Calico Cat written by Mrs. Sharon Gaines- Lee: I give TeTe The Colored Calico Cat 5 stars! It is a good book.
Summary and what I learned from reading Mrs. Gaines’ book: It was the first day of school for Tete. When she went to lunch, nobody would sit with her. She felt that people were not being nice to her because of the way that she looked. Even when she sat on the bus, nobody wanted to sit with her. When she arrived home, she told her mom about what had happened in school. Her mom told her not to listen to what they others had to say about her, but that she should decide to love herself and this will teach others how to love you, too. I learned that even though I am different from others, that I must not hate myself, but to love myself. God made all of us different.
It was a nice book. I think other kids should read it, because it teaches them a lesson. Although everyone is different, they still can accept those differences. I liked how the author used a metaphor to show that this world would be boring without different colors.
I give Mrs. Sharon Gaines-Lee's book, TeTe The Colored Calico Cat 5 stars and a thumbs up. Keep writing, Mrs. Gaines!
Hello everyone here is a book worth investing in she is a great friend / family who has written a book. In this book, Sharon Gaines-Lee goes beyond the event of discovery when one is faced with learning who they are as a human being. She goes to great lengths when writing this masterpiece. As she understands the pressure that young children are faced with, she uses very simplistic language that is descriptive, beautiful, and entertaining that teaches children about their differences and embracing who they are while accepting others regardless of shape, skin color, language, or gender.
